Information We Collect

Smoke Tracker is built to keep your personal data on your device. Your smoke-free tracking, journal entries, cravings, reasons, and any health readings are stored locally and are never uploaded to our servers. The only information that ever leaves your device is the anonymous, optional analytics described below and the subscription data needed to manage your purchases.

Data Storage

Your smoke-free tracking data, journal entries, and settings are stored exclusively on your device. This means you have complete control over your data, and it remains private at all times.

Analytics

If you opt in, we collect anonymous product-analytics events to see which features are used and to improve the app, using PostHog (hosted in the United States) and Google Firebase Analytics. These events are tied only to a random, anonymous identifier and are never linked to your name, email, or account. We do not collect your IP address or location: IP-based geolocation is disabled, and your region is inferred only from your device language setting. We do not use advertising and never track you across other apps or websites. Analytics is off by default; you are asked once during onboarding and can turn it on or off at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Security.

Third-Party Services

The app does not use advertising services. For in-app subscriptions and purchases, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our payment infrastructure provider. RevenueCat processes an anonymous device identifier, subscription status, and purchase history on our behalf — solely to manage your subscription. We do not have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers.

Data Security

We take data security seriously. The app offers optional password protection to add an extra layer of security to your quit smoking tracking data.

Purchase & Subscription Data

When you make a purchase or start a free trial, transaction data is processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. This includes your subscription status, purchase date, and anonymous transaction identifiers. No personal or health data is ever shared with these services. Under GDPR, RevenueCat acts as a data processor on our behalf under a written data processing agreement; the legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract. Data may be processed in the United States under GDPR-compliant Standard Contractual Clauses. You can manage your subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data. You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the reset feature within the app settings.
